Now, the canny-minded amongst you will have already realised that JOGLE stands for John O’ Groats to Land’s End, and that’s exactly what I’m doing! John O’ Groats to Land’s End, in one gargantuan hike.
Now you may be thinking: for the love of jebus woman, why? Along with: what exactly do you have against your feet? And maybe: if you don’t make it, can I have your i-Pod?
Well the answer to the first one is we need to raise a huge amount of money – at least £10,000 to be exact – so for a daunting target I needed a daunting challenge and hiking 1293 miles certainly seemed to fit that particular bill.
Now the really exciting bit is where the money is going, and oh mama have I got a treat for you! This is far too big to sum up on this little home page so you go on now and take your clickin’-finger to the menu, click on ‘the point’ and all will be revealed. There are other menu treats to be explored too so have a good look around – you’re here now, you might as well have a nose about and judge the furniture.
So yes – what a plan. John O’ Groats to Land’s End. One thousand, two hundred and ninety-three miles. Fifty-four consecutive days. All on my own two feet.
Wish me luck.
